Kalee Russell Crowned 2024 Miss Huntingdon

Montgomery, Ala. – Eleven Huntingdon ladies graced the stage on Saturday, March 2, to compete for the title of Miss Huntingdon.  Contestants were judged based on interview, self-expression, on-stage introduction, and their poise, platform and an on-stage question.

Kalee Russell, a freshman from Greenville, Alabama, was crowned the 2024 Miss Huntingdon.  The communication studies major is a member of Chi Omega and the Huntingdon dance team.  Her platform is the Heart of Alabama Food Bank.

Angelina Mazza, a freshman from Boca Raton, Alabama, was named first runner up to Miss Huntingdon.  The sport management major with a minor in communication studies is a member of the Huntingdon women’s soccer team and the women’s tennis team.

Jahunna Neston, a sophomore from Loachapoka, Alabama, was recognized as second runner up to Miss Huntingdon.  The English Language Arts Secondary Education major is a member of Chi Omega and the Kingswood Campus Activities Board.

Cassidy Campbell, a junior from Hanceville, Alabama, was voted as Miss Congeniality by the contestants.  The exercise science pre-physical therapy major is a member of the women’s basketball team and a residence assistant in Ligon Hall.

Molly Wilson, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Alabama, was selected by the audience as the Fan Favorite.  The business administration major is a member of the Huntingdon volleyball team.

Throughout the week, each contestant raised money for their platform of choice.  In addition to being named first runner up, Angelina Mazza was named Miss Philanthropic.  Over $3,000 will be donated to the Miracle League, her designated charity.

Other contestants included Brayleigh Cardoza, a sophomore from Phenix City, Alabama; Shelby Fugate, a sophomore from Fort Mitchell, Alabama; Abigail Mills, a freshman from Geneva, Alabama; Mekiah Mosley, a sophomore from Munford, Alabama; Emma Grace Samples, a freshman from Gadsden, Alabama; and Mecca Townsend, a junior from Montgomery.

Ariel Dixon, a junior from Saraland, Alabama, was thanked as part of the program for her service as the 2023 Miss Huntingdon.
